Ladies' Code ( kor .: 레이디스 코드) is a South Korean girl group founded by Polaris Entertainment in 2013 . The band originally consisted of the singers Ashley, EunB, RiSe, Sojung and Zuny. The group made their debut with the mini album Code # 01 in March 2013. On September 3, 2014, Ladies' Code was involved in a serious car accident in which EunB and RiSe were killed. After a break, the group returned as a trio in February 2016 with the single Galaxy .

history

2012: debut with code # 01

In 2012, Ladies' Code began producing their debut album. On March 7, 2013, the mini album Code # 01 was released along with the lead single Bad Girl . After its release, the song enjoyed commercial success and landed at number 34 on the Gaon Digital Charts . Another single called Hate You was released on August 6, 2013. Her second mini album, Code # 02 Pretty Pretty , was released in September . Over time, the group released several songs and an album was announced.

2014: car accident

On September 3, 2014 at around 1:30 a.m. (KST), Ladies' Code was involved in a serious car accident. In rainy weather, the group manager drove a van in which the members were also located at about 137 km / h in a zone where only 100 km / h was allowed. The car skid and crashed into a wall. When the emergency doctor arrived, EunB had already been pronounced dead and the remaining six inmates were transported to a nearby hospital. RiSe died four days later as a result of the accident. On November 12, 2014, the band's manager was arrested and sentenced to prison.

2016: return with Mst3ry

In January 2016 it was announced that Ladies' Code is returning as a trio and there will be no replacements for the deceased members. On February 24, 2016, the EP Myst3ry was released, and their single The Rain was released on October 13, 2016 .
