Lagarinhos is a place and a former municipality in Portugal with 445 inhabitants (as of 2011).

history

Lagarinhos had been an independent municipality since at least 1551.

It remained a parish in Gouveia County until the administrative reorganization in 2013 , when it was dissolved and merged with Rio Torto to form the new parish Rio Torto e Lagarinho .

Lagarinhos was a parish ( freguesia ) in the district ( concelho ) of Gouveia . The community had 445 inhabitants and an area of ​​10.8 km² (as of June 30, 2011).

The municipality consisted of four localities:

  • Lagarinhos
  • Novelães
  • Passarela
  • Ponte Pedrinha

As part of the territorial reform of September 29, 2013 , the municipalities of Lagarinhos and Rio Torto were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Rio Torto e Lagarinhos . Rio Torto is the seat of this newly formed community.
