Location map
The term site plan generally refers to a graphic, mostly true-to-scale representation of an object in connection with its location, its surroundings and situation. In particular, the map stands for:
- Site plan (building application) , cadastral site plan as part of a building application (Germany) or submission plan (Austria)
- As-built plan of a building or a larger facility
- Site plan (road design) , top view of a road design
- Site plan , large-scale map of the site (including water bodies) in the ground plan, in some cases there is also a representation of vegetation and infrastructure.
The opposite term to the technical site plan is the elevation plan . Increasingly, however, position and heights are being combined in a 3D display, for example as a listed projection or digitally in a geographic information system .
