Lagkagehuset ( Danish 'the cake house') is a Danish bakery and pastry chain .

Surname

In 1991 Ole Kristoffersen bought a bakery and pastry shop in the Christianshavn district of Copenhagen called Torvekonditoriet. The building in which the shop was located, erected in 1930, was popularly called Lagkagehuset and that became the name of the shop.

The rear, rectangular building is the Lagkagehus, at the rear corner of which the bakery and confectionery of the same name was opened on the ground floor.

In 2008 he joined forces with Steen Skallebæk, who owned a couple of bakeries in South Jutland. They jointly opened two more bakeries, before 10 July 2008 together with the Norwegian fund FSN Danish Bake A / S founded.

Until July 1, 2015, Steen Skallebæk, Ole Schielder Kristoffersen and Jesper Roholm Friis were joint managing directors, since then only Jesper Roholm Friis.

Branches

First there was the Lagkagehuset in Copenhagen and Skallebæk bakeries in Haderslev and Aabenraa. In the meantime (as of 2017) there are over 65 Danish shops with 1,800 employees and three branches in London with the name Ole & Steen Lagkagehuset . The first branch in London opened in January 2017.

In 2016 Danish Bake A / S had a turnover of 664.7 million DKK (89.4 million euros).

Since July 10, 2008 the company has been called Danish Bake A / S, its subsidiaries are Lagkagehuset A / S and Danish Bake UK Limited .

Ole Schielder Kristoffersen was the owner of Lagkagehuset until 2008. Then he teamed up with Steen Skallebæk. As of July 10, 2008 had Steen Skallebæk and Ole ski Elder Kristoffersen 30% of the company and the Nordic private equity -Unternehmen FSN Capital 70%. As of June 2017, the Swedish private equity company Nordic Capital was the sole owner. Nordic Capital has owned 80% of the company and the American private equity / venture capital company L Catterton 20% since November 2017 .
