The Lago Oculto (of Spanish oculto , secret, hidden concealed ' ) is a lake on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located at Cape Shirreff , the northern end of the John Paul II peninsula .
Scientists of the 45th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1990–1991) named it after its geographical location hidden by numerous hills surrounding it.
