The Laguna El Cepo is a glacial lake in the Región de Coquimbo , Chile . The lake is located at 2790 m in the valley of the Río Cochiguaz, a tributary of the Río Elqui .
The lake is about 21 km down the valley from the next town of Cochiguaz. It is a popular trekking destination and can be visited in a two-day hike.
