Laila Salome Fischer

Laila Salome Fischer (* 1987 in Berlin ) is a German opera singer ( soprano ). She performs as a ukulele player under the name UkeLaila .

Life

At the age of eleven, Fischer became a young student at the Julius Stern Institute of the Berlin University of the Arts with Jutta Schlegel. From 2006 to 2012 she studied singing / music theater at the Berlin University of the Arts with Julie Kaufmann . During her school days she gave concerts in the Berlin Philharmonie, in the Konzerthaus Berlin, in Barcelona, ​​Madrid, Brussels and Zurich. During her studies she made her debut at the Potsdam Music Festival and at the Deutsche Oper Berlin .

In the summer of 2013 she made her debut at the Bregenz Festival and in the 2013/2014 season she sang the Queen of the Night at the Neustrelitz Opera and Evita in the premiere LoveAffairs at the Deutsche Oper Berlin . At the Staatstheater Cottbus , she took on the roles of Queen of the Night in the Magic Flute and the title role in Handel's Alcina in the 2014/2015 season . In the 2015/2016 season she made her debut there as Konstanze in Mozart's Abduction from the Seraglio .

The soprano distinguishes herself particularly in the field of early music . She sang in baroque concerts at the Berlin State Opera and Komische Oper was invited by the Paraguayan Bach Society to give a master class and to sing Bach cantatas with the Bach Collegium. She is a member of the Ensemble Concerto + 14 founded by Raphael Alpermann , with whose chamber ensemble (soprano, two violins, viola, cello, harpsichord) she was selected for concerts by young artists and performed as part of the Göttingen series of the Göttingen Handel Festival.
