Lajos Keresztes (photographer)

Lajos Keresztes (* 1933 in Budapest ) is a German-Hungarian photographer and photo designer .

Life

After the war, Keresztes graduated from high school in 1952 and then worked in a graphic studio. In the course of the Hungarian uprising , he emigrated to Germany. From 1957 to 1958 he studied architecture in Munich and in 1961 moved to Cologne to study at the University of Applied Sciences for Photography . After graduating , he moved to Nuremberg as a freelance photographer and photo designer . From 1980 to 1998 Keresztes ran a "non-profit" photo gallery. In 1994 he organized and realized the international exhibition "Photo Future" and until 1998 held numerous photo workshops in Nuremberg and Salföld(Hungary). From 1998 to 1999 he took over a professorship at the Trier University of Applied Sciences. Lajos Keresztes lives and works in Nuremberg.

Keresztes work can be found today in numerous acquisitions and private collections. The photo artist received many awards for his photographs, such as B. the gold medal of the “ Biennale of Photo Art ”, BEFU in Belgrade .
