The Lake Teardrop is a small Glacial Lake in Denton Hills on the Scott Coast in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It lies in the southeast face of the Hidden Valley .
Participants in a 1960 to 1961 campaign as part of New Zealand's Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions visited it in December 1961 and named it descriptively after its shape, which is reminiscent of a tear .
