Lakestades

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lake Stade ( give a wiki. Λακεστάδης = louder fighters ) was in Greek mythology the son of Hippolytus , king of Sicyon . After his death, he ascended the throne of Sicyon as a vassal of the Mycenaeans . The Dorian Phalkes , the son of Temenus , made a surprise attack on Sikyon at night and captured the city. Since both were descendants of Heracles , Phalkes did no harm to Lakestades and from then on they ruled together. Sikyon was from now on considered Doric.

After them the Rhegnidas , the son of Phalkes, took over the government.
