Lambert Schuessler

Lambert Schüssler (born June 27, 1930 in Wunnersdorf near Graz) is an Austrian fossil collector . Until his retirement he was a forest inspector in St. Gallen , Styria .

Schüssler's collection includes, among other things, the fauna of the aniseed limestone of the Rahnbauerkogel near Gr. Reifling, Rhät der Voralpe. He is in possession of the fossil collection of Hermann Brandauer . Schüssler's collection today consists of over 5000 fossils. They are referred to in numerous international publications. In 2014, Schüssler was awarded the golden medal of honor by the market town of Kammern im Liesingtal for his services to the Museumshof Kammern .
