Lambert van Nistelrooij
Lambert van Nistelrooij (born March 5, 1953 in Nuland ) is a Dutch politician of the Christian Democratic Appèl party (CDA).
Life
After studying social geography at Radboud University in Nijmegen , Lambert van Nistelrooij graduated in 1979 with the distinction cum laude . From 1979 to 1983 he worked for the city region of Tilburg and from 1983 to 1988 as a manager in the province of Gelderland . From 1987 to 1991 he was head of management training and organizational development at the Christian Farmer's Association in North Brabant. Between 1999 and 2003 he chaired the social organizations " Alive " and " European Challenge to Aging ". He is also a member of the Knights of the Orange-Nassau Order .

Lambert van Nistelrooij was a member of the provincial committees in the province of Noord-Brabant from 1991 to 2003 and chairman of the General Assembly of the Regions of Europe from 1992 to 2003. From 1995 to 2003 he was a delegation member and rapporteur in the Committee of the Regions and held various offices in the regional chamber of the Council of Europe .
He has been a member of the European Parliament for the Netherlands since June 8, 2004 . He is a member of the Committee on Regional Development and of the delegations for relations with the countries of the Andean Community and of the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly.
