Lamine Traoré (born June 10, 1982 in Upper Volta , today Burkina Faso ) is a football player from the West African state of Burkina Faso.

Career

He began his career in the youth academy Planète Champion Ouagadougou in the Burkinabe capital and in 1999 moved to Belgium to RSC Anderlecht . There he was never able to establish himself as a regular player in central defense, but won the Belgian championship three times. From 2006 to 2009 he played for Gençlerbirliği in Turkey . He has not played a competitive game since then.

Traoré played for the Burkinabe national football team and took part in the African Championships in 2002 and 2004 .
