Lamb puke is an Oi! -Band from Baden-Württemberg . It was founded in 2003.

history

Lammkotze was founded by Geißi ( guitar , vocals ) and Schnitzel ( drums ) on February 14, 2003. Shortly afterwards, Charlie joined the band on bass . The name "Lammkotze" came about during a boozy train ride. It was retained because it was original and therefore stayed in the head. On July 18, 2003 Lammkotze played their first gig at an open air in a small Bavarian town. One year after the founding, the first demo tape with four songs was released. After Charlie left the band, LeChris could be won as drummer in 2005 and Schnitzel took over the electric bass.

Through the demo tape in 2007 the label Randale Records became aware of the band and signed them. In 2007 the successful debut album Hasst uns !! . In 2009 a contribution to the sampler United against Cancer followed . In 2010 the second album was released freely and unrestrained , which is much more powerful and musically mature. In 2011 a split EP was released with the habit drinkers from Freiburg, for which each band recorded three new songs. Schnitzel left the band in 2011. Sven followed him on bass.

At the beginning of 2013, the band reported back to their 10th anniversary with the anniversary album Vom Kopf bis zu den Boots . Then LeChris ended his engagement on drums. For the transition, Olli could be won on the drums. Alex (previously drummer with Ex Nör Säx and King Riot ) has been part of Lammkotze's new permanent drummer since August 2013 . The band plays many smaller and larger concerts and festivals all over Germany. In November 2015, the band toured Malaysia for the first time outside of Europe . In March 2018 the band played concerts in Argentina (Buenos Aires and Rosario).

The side project "Lammplugged" has also existed since 2013. Here Geißi and Sven play very successfully lamb puke and cover songs acoustically with Olli on the drums. In 2016 the new album "Wehende Fahnen" was released; a split of lamb puke and lamb plugged.

style

Lammkotze play mostly German-speaking, melodic and sing-along Oi! Punk and integrate influences from the anti-racist skinhead scene and the "way of life" into their sound.

The band distances itself from all political extremes, which is especially clear in the song We were the first there . On their website the band takes a clear stand against racism and fascism.
