The Lamplugh Inlet is an ice-covered bay at the Black Coast of Palmer Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It lies between Cape Healy and Cape Howard .
Participants of the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) discovered the bay during explorations over land and from the air. It is named after Elmer Louis Lamplugh (1910–1949), radio operator at the East Base of the service on Stonington Island .
