Lana Walter

Lana Walter (born December 22, 1948 in Klamath Falls / Oregon ) is an American music teacher and composer .

Walter studied music theory and history at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, and the University of Oregon in Eugene. She teaches singing and music theory at the Umpqua Community Colleg and directs the Umpqua Youth Choir in Roseburg / Oregon, which she founded. In addition to pieces for the children's choir, she composed several children's musicals in which she introduces children to various areas of knowledge ("infomusicals"). In her works for adults, she often draws on the forms and musical language of early music.
