The Landauer Wasserkunst (also called Wasserkunst von Landau ) is a historical, technical building for the supply of drinking water in Landau , a village district of Bad Arolsen in the north Hessian district of Waldeck-Frankenberg .

The Landauer Wasserkunst was built in 1535 by the Fritzlar master blacksmith Klein . The water art had the task of supplying the mountain town of Landau with drinking water from a nearby spring with the help of the water power of the Watter , as the town on the hill had no springs and no wells could be dug. The system is maintained by the Association for the Preservation of Water Art from 1535.

The first Kump within Landau was created - according to an information board there - around 1555 on the market square, 63 meters above sea level. This Marktkump was followed by other Kümpe in the city area, but all of them were lost over time. In the course of the village renewal in 1984, the Marktkump was recreated and again linked to water art; it was renovated again in 2007.
