The Landesgirokasse Stuttgart (LG) was a public-law credit institute, which was initially created in 1975 through the merger of the Württembergische Landessparkasse (LASPA) and the Städtische Spar- und Girokasse Stuttgart as Landessparkasse - Girokasse public bank . From 1977 it was finally called the Landesgirokasse - public bank and state savings bank . The city of Stuttgart and the state of Baden-Württemberg were responsible for the Landesgirokasse .

On January 1, 1999, the Landesgirokasse was merged with Südwest LB and the market section of L-Bank to form Landesbank Baden-Württemberg .
