tasks

The association works to protect and preserve the wild fauna in their natural habitats. It works for the preservation and design of their livelihoods while taking complex account of ecological requirements and the interests of nature conservation, national culture, environmental protection, animal welfare, and agriculture and forestry. The association represents the interests of its members vis-à-vis third parties, in particular vis-à-vis the state government and the local state organs, institutions and the public, and provides legal assistance as it can.

The priority tasks of the association include:

  • the proper care and regulation of healthy wild animal populations
  • the professional training and further education of the association members
  • maintaining hunting traditions and customs as part of the culture
  • public relations and cooperation with hunting science and with movements that advocate environmental and animal welfare.

Committees of the State Hunting Association

According to the statutes of the LJV, the association organs are:

  • The Bureau
  • The extended presidium
  • The State Delegates' Conference

The LJV Presidium represents the association vis-à-vis the state government with its ministries and authorities at the various levels. It maintains contacts with the political parties, the state parliament and its members of parliament and brings wherever it is important and necessary, e.g. B. when drafting or amending the legal provisions and ordinances relating to hunting, the interests of the country's hunters.

The extended presidium consists of the members of the presidium and the chairmen of the hunting associations. It is convened regularly by the President and must be heard on important issues of the association. The chairmen of the voluntary committees of the LJV are invited to the meetings as advisors.

As the highest body of the LJV, a state delegate assembly meets once a year. It takes the basic resolutions for the association's work, decides on amendments to the statutes, receives reports from the Presidium and decides on the use of the association's financial resources. The LJV finances its association activities exclusively from its own resources, which it receives in the form of the annual membership fees.
