The regional association of Bavarian building guilds (LBB) together with the Association of Bavarian Building Entrepreneurs (VBB) form the organization of the building trade in Bavaria (Das Bayerische Baugewerbe).

history

On October 1, 1945, representatives of the building trade founded the State Association of Bavarian Building Guilds as an organization for the main construction trade at the state level. It comprised the various building trades companies that had been compulsorily united in the Reich Guild Association since the beginning of the Second World War. His goal was to coordinate the rebuilding of the trade organization for the construction sector in Bavaria.

In May 1948, LBB joined the Central Association of the German Construction Industry .

In the assembly of delegates on May 4, 1961, it was decided to found the Association of Bavarian Construction Entrepreneurs. This took over the duties of an employers' association of the Bavarian construction industry from LBB.

On November 23, 1970, the LBB opened its own training center in Burgthann with the professional development agency of the Bavarian construction industry . In 1999 the facility moved to Feuchtwangen and since then has been training construction workers there under the name Bayerische BauAkademie in the fields of construction technology, construction machine technology, management, operations management and IT.
