Thank you for the flowers is a song by the Austrian singer Udo Jürgens from 1981 to a text by Eduardo Lisavetzky and Siegfried Rabe .

It was produced by Joachim Heider . The song has been covered several times, including in 1984 by André van Duin in the Dutch version Welbedankt voor de bloemen . It became known as the title song of the German version of the cartoon series Tom and Jerry .
The song was first released on April 6, 1981 on Juergens' studio album Willkommen in mein Leben .
