The state association of the Israelite cultural communities of Lower Saxony Kdö.R is an association of liberal Jewish communities in Lower Saxony with its seat in Hanover . The state association serves the state government and the state institutions in Lower Saxony as a point of contact for questions relating to the practice of Jewish religion .

He is a member of the Central Council of Jews in Germany and includes seven communities in Bad Pyrmont , Celle , Göttingen , Hanover, Hameln , Seesen and Wolfsburg .

On December 3, 2002, the regional association applied for membership in the Central Council of Jews in Germany. By changing the statutes, he made corporate rights a prerequisite for admission. When, on October 25, 2005, the state of Lower Saxony gave the state association the corporate rights by a cabinet resolution, it was said “[w] ith the granting of corporate rights to the liberal state association, this formal admission requirement to the Central Council has been met.” The Central Council of Jews in Germany took in its council meeting on November 20, 2005 in Düsseldorf the regional association of the Israelite religious communities of Lower Saxony.
