National Defense Commission

The National Defense Commission was a military authority established in Prussia in 1873 , which had to advise on questions of the so-called great national defense .

Great national defense refers to the building and demolition of fortresses , coastal fortifications, and matters relating to military reforms and transformations.

The National Defense Commission was dissolved in 1898 with the proviso that special commissions were convened to discuss individual problems relating to national defense.
