Landmarq is a British neo-prog band that was formed in London in 1990.

Band history

Landmarq emerged from the neo-prog band Quasar, to which the three founders Daisley, D'Rose and Leigh had belonged in the 1980s. Dave Wagstaffe, formerly Quasar, was recruited as drummer and Steve Gee as bassist. Daisley soon left the band, however, and was replaced first by Rob Lewis-Jones and finally by Damian Wilson ( Threshold ). With this line-up, the first two Landmarq albums were released on the Dutch label SI Music in 1992 and 1993. Then Wilson moved to the Luxembourgish band LaSalle, which had a contract with a major label . He was temporarily replaced by Ian Gould, but soon returned to Landmarq as LaSalle remained unsuccessful. The band's third album followed in 1995.

In 1998, after Wilson finally left and the band's own label Synergy was founded, Landmarq's fourth album was released with Tracy Hitchings as the singer. A first live album followed in the following year, the second in 2002, a live DVD in 2006. Founding member Leigh left the band in 2002, his successor until 2005 was Gonzalo Carrera, who in turn was replaced by Mike Varty. After the fifth studio album in 2012 Wagstaffe switched to Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash , and Daniel Martin became the new drummer.
