Mühlenhunte landscape park
The Mühlenhunte landscape park is a 6 hectare landscape park that was created in 2006 on the Lazaruswiese in the southeast of the city of Oldenburg in Lower Saxony , Germany . He is part of the 14-hectare conservation area Mühlenhunte.
Through the park a section of the old flows Hunte who served the operation of two in the year 1345 mentioned mills. Until 1982 the Lazaruswiese belonged to the Hunte river lowlands, then it was filled up. Together with the establishment of the OLantis river pool in 2006, Mühlenhunte received a new, natural- looking bed, and the approximately 40,000 square meter Lazaruswiese was redesigned into a landscape park and local recreation area in 2006 . Outside the outdoor pool area, the meadow area was designed with loosely standing, flowering rows of trees and hedges to give the impression of a meadow landscape. A small arboretum was created.
In 2016 Freifeld eV and Freifeld »Yurts organized a two-week art and culture festival on the Lazaruswiese.
