Delbrücker ridge nature reserve
The Delbrücker Ridge landscape protection area with an area of 1609.71 hectares at the time of designation is in the Paderborn district . The landscape protection area (LSG) was designated on March 31, 1970 by the Paderborn district, with the authorization of the district president in the Detmold district . The landscape protection area was established in 1970 with a time limit up to §1. December 1988. According to the law for the protection of nature in North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesnaturschutzgesetz - LNatSchG NRW) of July 21, 2000 § 79 transition of existing ordinances, the LSG continues to exist until a landscape plan or an ordinance of the regulatory authority comes into force .

In the north and east of Delbrück the settlement area borders directly on the LSG. In the east, the settlement area borders directly on the Delbrücker village Seglingsheide . In 2020, two areas of the LSG had already become industrial areas. One of the industrial areas is located north of Delbrück, east of the Jüdendamm road . The second industrial area borders directly to the east on Delbrück and is bordered to the east by Birkenweg and north by Hövelhofer Straße . The Rixel nature reserve is located in the middle of the LSG.
In the LSG there are forest, mostly deciduous forest, fields and grassland.
The ordinance of the LSG prohibits the erection of structures, even if they do not require a building permit or building notice, as well as structural changes to the outside of existing structures. The afforestation of agriculturally usable areas is also prohibited, with the exception of the wasteland and the complete or partial removal or damage of hedges, field or riparian trees in the open landscape, as well as the modification or creation of watercourses or water areas.
