The landscape protection area Großes Meer and surroundings is a landscape protection area in the district of Aurich in the state of Lower Saxony . Description of the area

The landscape protection area is divided into four parts: Big Sea Northern Part, Small Sea (Hieve), Suurhuser- and Loppersumer Hammrich with Bedekaspeler and Victorburer Marsch as well as Bedekaspel and Forlitz-Blaukirchen. It is characterized by open water areas, silting areas, damp / wet grassland with different intensities of use, individual trees, open sea landscapes with branching ditch systems and littered arable areas. The flora is characterized by wet and wet bushes, reeds and typical grassland plants.
