The landscape protection area Linnepetal and tributaries between Linnepe and the southern plan area border with 50.4  hectares is located in the urban area of Sundern and in the Hochsauerlandkreis . The area was designated in 1993 with the Sundern landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis for the first time with the name of the Linnepetal landscape protection area between Linnepe and the southern plan border as a landscape protection area (LSG) with an area of ​​49.59 hectares. When the Sundern landscape plan was reorganized, the LSG was identified again with a different name. The LSG was designated as a type C landscape protection area , meadow valleys and significant extensive grassland. The LSG borders directly on the settlement areas of Linnepe , Linneperhütte and Meinkenbracht . The LSG goes to the southern city limits. The LSG comprises grassland areas in the Linnepe valley . The grassland in the Linnepe valley, which narrows towards the stream areas close to the source, is mainly used as pasture for cattle. The flowing, near-natural brook is accompanied on long stretches by a dense, multi-stemmed bank wood. On the embankments and the foot of the slopes and z. As in the other type C landscape protection areas in the urban area, the LSG prohibits the construction of structures. Construction projects for horticulture, agriculture and forestry are exempt from the ban. The Lower Nature Conservation Authority can issue exceptional permits for buildings of all kinds. As in the other type B landscape protection areas in Sundern, the LSG prohibits first afforestation and the creation of Christmas trees , ornamental branches and tree nursery cultures . Grassland and fallow grassland may not be converted into arable land or other uses.
