Protection purpose
The designation was carried out to ensure the diversity and uniqueness of the landscape in the vicinity of the localities and the old agricultural priority areas by keeping it open. Also because of its special importance for recreation.
Legal regulations
As in the other landscape protection areas in the municipality, the LSG prohibits the construction of structures. Construction projects for horticulture, agriculture and forestry are exempt from the ban. The Lower Nature Conservation Authority can issue special permits for buildings of all kinds. As in the other type B landscape protection areas in Eslohe, the LSG prohibits initial afforestation and the creation of Christmas trees , ornamental branches and tree nursery cultures .
As in all type B and type C landscape planning areas in the municipality, there is a requirement to keep the LSG free from forest cover through agricultural use or through maintenance measures.
