This article deals with the Reuss Landtag of the younger line 1857-1860.
Parliament
The Reuss Younger Line Landtag was elected indirectly in four curiae:
- 1 viril vote for the owner of the Reuss-Köstritzer Paragium
- The owners of the 31 manors eligible for the state parliament elected 3 members
- The cities elected representatives (Gera 3, Schleiz and Lobenstein 1 each, Tanna, Saalburg, Hirschberg together 1)
- The rural population elected 3 MPs
The election of the electors took place on July 22, 1857, that of the deputies and their deputies on September 7, 1857.

State parliament commissioner was Minister Eduard von Geldern . Under the senior president Gottlob von Püttner, the state parliament elected Otto Weißker as state parliament president (from January 25, 1860, this was Hermann Ampach). Heinrich Süßenguth was elected as Vice President. The secretaries were Hermann Ampach and from January 25, 1860 Emil von Metsch. Deputy secretary was initially Emil von Metsch, from November 31, 1857 Ferdinand von Ziegenhierd and from January 25, 1860 Moritz Weißker.
The state parliament met from October 1, 1857 to March 14, 1860 in 78 public plenary sessions in three session periods. The state parliament passed on March 12, 1860.
A state parliament committee was elected for the time between the session periods. This consisted of the MPs Julius Glaß (for the Gera region), Otto Weißker (from January 25, 1860: Hermann Ampach) (for the Schleiz region) and Gottlob von Püttner (for the Lobenstein-Ebersdorf region).
