State Parliament President Philipp Mayer

The mandates of the representatives of the ancient knights and landscapes were disputed. After the majority of the Landtag on September 29, 1848, declared that the mandates were invalid, the representatives of the old knights and landscapes declared their "temporary" waiver of their mandate on October 3, 1848. On March 9, 1849, Chancellor Bretschneider asked the Provisional Central Authority . The Reich Ministry of the Interior under Friedrich Bassermann decided in an arbitration on April 5 in favor of the 5 members. From August 27, 1849, the five deputies again took part in the sessions of the state parliament.

The Landtag commissioner was Chancellor Robert von Bretschneider . Under the senior president Müller, the state parliament elected Philipp Mayer as state parliament president and Philipp Knoch (from October 4 to December 27 and from March 5 to March 17, 1849) and Hermann Fasold (from August 27 to December 21, 1849) 1849) as Vice President.

The first secretary was Ludwig Fuchs until November 1, 1848 and then Heinrich Göll. Deputy first secretary were Fraaß, Kneusel and Petermann.

The state parliament agreed on a constitution (the state constitution) and a new right to vote and ended its work on December 21, 1849.
