Agricultural college Hatzendorf
The agricultural college in Hatzendorf in the village of Hatzendorf in the municipality of Fehring is an agricultural college in the province of Styria . The former Lemperg sanatorium is an old building and is a listed building .
history
The building was run as a sanatorium until 1947. In 1950 the former Lemperg sanatorium was acquired by the State of Styria and an agricultural technical school was set up as a so-called winter school with two semesters from November to April. From 1976 to 1984 the duration of the winter school was extended to three semesters. In 1977 the Kalsdorf Castle estate was handed over to the school. From 1984 the school was run for four years, with two full school years, an internship of 14 months, and a final winter semester. Today the college is run for three years, with four months of internship. At the end of their training, the students receive a skilled worker certificate.
In 2012, the boarding school was rebuilt with the architectural office Ferdinand Certov and a barrier-free access and structural connection with the listed villa was established.
