The Agricultural College Lienz is a regional agricultural vocational school in the town of Lienz in East Tyrol . The school building is a listed building .

history

A boys' school was set up in 1921 and an agricultural housekeeping school for girls was started in 1924. The Franz-Joseph-Kaserne was used as a school building until 1936 . In 1937, the state government bought a building plot from the district chamber of farmers next to the Müllerhof farm and built a new school building there based on plans by Hans Menardi . This building initially housed the boys and from 1951 also the housekeeping school and boarding school for girls. The main building was built from 1948 to 1951 and was later completely renovated and expanded in 1984. From 1946 to 1950 the Herz-Jesu-Kirche was built in the middle of the school's facilities.

Agricultural school

In the school there is a three-stage training to become a skilled agricultural worker or skilled worker in rural housekeeping.
