Lane Ridge is a mountain ridge on the Pernik Peninsula on the Loubet Coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It towers southeast of Protector Heights .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2014 after Able Seaman Michael B. Lane, who died on December 6, 1963 during a seismic survey by the HMS Protector on behalf of the British Antarctic Survey as a result of an accident in the Scotia Sea .
