The Protector Heights are coastal mountains of up to 2245 m height on the Pernik Peninsula on the Loubet Coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . They are separated from the inland plateau by a low saddle and dominate the area between the Wilkinson Glacier and southern Darbel Bay .
Aerial photographs were taken during the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition between 1956 and 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 after the HMS Protector , a Royal Navy patrol boat that was used in Antarctica between 1955 and 1967.
