The four long beds of Rothensande are close to each other to the west of Waabs and are still clearly visible in the area, but are overgrown with trees and partially hidden under thorn bushes. The Rothensande estate belongs to the Waabs community in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein . The megalithic system of the funnel beaker culture (TBK) was created between 3500 and 2800 BC. Chr.

A rectangular barrow in an approximate north-south direction ( location ). Only stones on the long sides are left of the edging. The dimensions of the long bed are 22 m × 6 m. In the middle of the complex are the remains of a transverse, extended dolmen , all the bearing stones of the chamber are still in situ . The dolmen consists of two supporting stones on each of the long sides and one end stone on each of the narrow sides. A gap has been left in the eastern corner, probably as an entrance. The cap stones are missing. In Atlas of megalithic Germany by Ernst Sprockhoff this long bed is as Sprockhoff 61 out.

Another rectangular barren bed, it is located in a northeast-southwest direction ( location ). The dimensions are 38 m × 8 m. Numerous stones in the border have been preserved, but have been badly discarded. In the northeastern part of the facility there is a polygonal pole , consisting of six in-situ girders with an entrance opening and a small threshold stone in the southeast. The capstone is missing, the dimensions of the chamber are 2.5 mx 1.8 m. In the southwestern half of the megalithic bed lies the remainder of a large transverse dolmen. In situ a mighty capstone in the northwest. On the north-eastern long side three girders, the two outer ones in situ, the middle one fallen inward. The stones are missing from the opposite long side and the southeastern end, as are the cap stones. In Atlas of megalithic Germany this long bed is as Sprockhoff 63 out.

The fourth giant bed lies between the group of the remaining three in the south and Gut Rothensande in the north ( Lage ). It is north-south with a transverse chamber at the north end, this is an enlarged dolmen. The well-preserved earth embankment is bordered by 21 stones on the west side and 18 stones on the south side, and there is still one surrounding stone on each of the narrow sides. The long bed can be measured at 52 m × 7 m. The chamber has five beams and a capstone. The northern long side has two girders, the western end stone and a girder for the southern long side are present. In the atlas of megalithic tombs of Germany this long bed is listed as Sprockhoff 64 .
