Langdysse from Toftebjerg

The Langdysse of Toftebjerg (also called Højby Toftebjerg Langdysse) is located northwest of Højby near Holbæk in Odsherred Municipality on the Danish island of Zealand .

The giant bed of Langdysse von Toftebjerg is about 15.0 m long and 8.0 m wide. Of the 20 curbs that have been preserved, five are standing, the rest have fallen. The dolmen dates from the Neolithic around 3500–2800 BC. And is a megalithic system of the funnel beaker culture (TBK). Approximately in the middle of the hill is a chamber with a remnant of a passage, consisting of two bearing stones. The chamber measures approximately 2.0 × 1.57 m and is formed by five (one missing) high supporting stones. The large capstone is in situ .

Nearby are the completely hilly Runddysse of Højby , the Langdysse Højby Stenbakken and the Troldhøj .
