Langensalza Medal

The Langensalza Medal was donated on June 30, 1866 by King George V of Hanover and could be awarded to all soldiers who took part in the successful battle against Prussia on June 27, 1866.

The bronze medal shows the profile of the founder turned to the left. All around GEORG V v. G. G. KOENIG v. HANOVER . The three-line inscription LANGENSALZA 27 JUNE 1866 is surrounded by a laurel wreath on the reverse .

The award was worn on a white ribbon with yellow side stripes on the left chest.
