Langerfeld market

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Langerfeld market

The Langerfelder Markt was originally the center of the Langerfeld farming community and is located in what is now the Wuppertal district of Langerfeld-Beyenburg .

The market square was on the road between Barmen and Schwelm , which today in the changed course of Langerfelder Strasse and Schwelmer Strasse touches Langerfelder Markt to the north; it is classified as state road 726. The original course of the old street is today's Odoakerstraße, which touches the square to the south.

There is a war memorial on the square, which was moved to its current location after it was erected. The half-timbered house, Odoakerstraße 1, is typical of the Bergisch-Mark region and is the landmark of the Langerfeld district.

A weekly market has been held here on Friday mornings since mid-2009.
