Language Workbench
Language workbench ( English for language workbench is) one in 2005 by Martin Fowler introduced concept that a class of development tools describes the specification, reuse and composition of domain-specific languages along with their integrated development environments are used. A Language Workbench therefore follows the idea of Language Oriented Programming .
It usually supports:
- Specification of the language concepts or the metamodel
- Specification of the editing environment for the domain-specific language
- Specification of the execution semantics, e.g. B. by interpretation or code generation
