The Langwell Water is a small river in the county of Caithness , in the far north of the Scottish Highlands . It rises from a lake called Loch Scalabsdale and flows into Berriedale Water at the village of Berriedale , a few hundred meters before it flows into the Moray Firth .

The name of the river is known nationwide through the basement of Langwell Water and two enclosures (listed as Langwell Water, two enclosures & souterrain in the list of monuments ) at Latheron .
