The Langya Mountains (琅邪 山 / 琅琊山 among others; Pinyin : Langya Shan) is a low mountain range in the southwest of the Chuzhou district in the Chinese province of Anhui . The mountain is named after the first emperor of the Eastern Jin Dynasty Sima Rui (Jin Yuandi), the king / prince ( wang ) of Langya (琅邪 王).

In addition to the Buddhist Langya temple ( Langya si ) there is also the Daoist Bixia monastery ( Bixia gong ), where, according to Chinese figures, 50,000 Daoists annually celebrate the birthday of the Jade Emperor on the ninth day of the first month according to the traditional Chinese lunar calendar .
