Laoling

Laoling ( Chinese 樂陵 市 / 乐陵 市 , Pinyin Làolíng Shì ; often incorrectly transcribed as Leling - in this place name the character 乐 [樂] is not pronounced lè or yuè , as is usual , but instead pronounced lào ) is a Chinese circle-free City in Shandong Province . It belongs to the administrative area of the district-free city of Dezhou . Laoling has an area of 1,172 km² and has a population of 640,000 (2003).
