For the first time in an international championship, Lara Gómez appeared at the U20 World Championships in 2016 in Bydgoszcz , where she reached the semi-finals in the 100-meter run and was eliminated there with 11.74 s, while she was eliminated over 200 meters with 24.23 s failed in the first round. In addition, she finished sixth with the Spanish 4 x 100 meter relay in 44.99 s. In the following year she took part with the relay at the U23 European Championships there and surprisingly won in 43.96 s ahead of the teams from France and Switzerland. In 2019 she finished sixth in the relay at the U23 European Championships in Gävle in 44.56 s.
In 2018, Gómez became the Spanish champion in the 4 x 100 meter relay.
