The Larkman nunatak is a large, isolated and 2,660 m high nunatak in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises 20 km east of the Mauger Nunatak at the southeast end of the Grosvenor Mountains .
It was discovered by participants in a campaign carried out from 1961 to 1962 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition . It is named after Alfred Herbert Larkman (1890–1962), the chief engineer of the Aurora as a member of the Ross Sea Party as part of the endurance expedition (1914–1917) led by the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton .
