The Mauger Nunatak is a 2780 m high nunatak in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises 3 miles northeast of Mount Block in the Grosvenor Mountains .
Participants in a campaign carried out by the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition from 1961 to 1962 named him after Clarence Charles Mauger (1892-1963), ship carpenter on the Aurora as a member of the Ross Sea Party as part of the Endurance Expedition (1914-1917) under the Head of the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton .
