Larry Domasin

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Larry Domasin (born March 5, 1955 in Los Angeles as Larry Edward Domasin ) is an American former actor who worked primarily as a child actor .

career

The then seven-year-old Domasin first appeared in the 1962 episode The Secret Place of the television series Adventures in Paradise . This was soon followed by roles in the comedy The Rascals of Mexico and in the Elvis Presley film Acapulco , both of which premiered in 1963.

In the next few years Domasin worked mainly in western films (such as Rancho River with James Stewart ) and series (such as Big Valley with Barbara Stanwyck ).

Trivia

In the film Acapulco Domasin sang some passages in a duet with Elvis Presley in the song Mexico , which are only included in the film version, as his voice was deleted when the record was later released. This makes the song seem choppy and no longer rhymes consistently. The following are the three stanzas that no longer rhyme due to the cut, whereby the text sung by Domasin and which fell victim to the cut is shown in italics .

It's so nice here, oh what sights here
Lots to do-ooh-ooh-ooh the nights here
One tequila makes you feel-a
Yen to kiss a lovely señorita
You'll do the samba, la bamba
Learn to shout Olé and Caramba

Larry Domasin is a great-uncle of actress Hailee Steinfeld .
