Larry Wolgast

Larry Wolgast is an American politician .

Wolgast grew up in Wabaunsee County . He graduated from Kansas State University and the University of Kansas . At the latter he received a master’s degree and then did a doctorate .

In April 2013, he was elected Mayor of Topeka , the capital of the US state of Kansas . Before his election as mayor, he was a member of Topeka City Council and held the office of Vice Mayor under Mayor Bill Bunten .

Wolgast is married and has two sons.
