Lars-Erik Jonsson
Lars-Erik Jonsson (born December 14, 1959 - May 3, 2006 in Gothenburg ) was a Swedish opera singer (tenor).
Life
Jonsson was engaged at the opera houses in Gothenburg and Malmö as well as the Royal Stockholm Opera , the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki, the Royal Copenhagen Opera and the German State Opera Unter den Linden in Berlin.
In 2002/2003 he played Herodes in Strauss' Salome and Quint in Britten's The Turn of the Screw at the Frankfurt Opera and in the 2003/2004 season he played Tichon in Janáček's "Katja Kabanová" and in 2004/2005 Prince Vasili Golitsyn in Mussorgsky's Khovanshchina .
Jonsson died of complications from a heart attack. He left a wife and two children.
