Lars Christian Lilleholt (born March 2, 1965 in Odense ) is a Danish politician of the Venstre party and was Minister of Energy, Research and Climate in the Lars Løkke Rasmussen II and III cabinets .

Life

Lilleholt grew up in Odense, where he studied economics and social sciences from 1985 to 1988, then from 1989 to 1993 he graduated from the Danish School of Journalism in Aarhus . From 1991 to 1995 he worked as a journalist for the newspaper Fyns Amts Avis . From 1995 to 2001 he worked as press spokesman for Danske Fjernvarmeværkers Forening (Danish District Heating Association), later as head of the press department.

He was already a candidate for the Venstre party in Odense in 1993 at local level, at times a member of the parliament of the official municipality of Funen and has been a member of the Folketing since 2008 . There he was a member of the Committee for Climate, Energy and Building. He has been Minister for Energy, Research and Climate since June 28th.

Lilleholt is married and has three children.
